Echo Residence All Suite Hotel - Tihany

The Echo Residence All Suite Hotel provided exceptional value for money. The spacious rooms offered breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding nature. The hotel's location, right on the lakeside and near the center of Tihany, was ideal for exploring the area. The attentive staff and their attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable.

No significant negatives to mention. Everything was satisfactory.

The location of the accommodation was good, situated in Tihany, close to the Balaton lake and not so far away from the village center. The Karolina Restaurant based in the hotel had very good food with excellent service and very helpful staff. After the first night we were offered 10% discount due to not meeting our booking. At the end of our horrible stay, after more problems, we were offered a voucher for 3 free nights to be used within the next year and 20% refund (which we refused) but after our counter-suggestion we were given 50% refund after all.

Where to start? :-) 1. The booked room (deluxe with the lake view) proved to be a corner, ground floor, with the view towards the parking and the terrace restaurant, dirty, full of spiders with a leaking bathtub. 2. The second room (changed after complaining) looked lovely BUT was dirty, the quality of interiors was very poor, the airco leaked into the master-bed twice (was repaired in the afternoon first time and leaked the second time just when we were about to go to bed after 23:00). There was no one in the reception so restaurant staff helped us with a temporary solution for the leak. 3. Too few towels AND not changed even when wet, dirty and on the floor. 4. Except for two mini bottles of Dove shower gel, a wine opener and two glasses, there were no other bathroom/hotel room articles present (something we did not expect in a 4/5* hotel room with a kitchenette). 5. No hotel information in the room - even the info "in case of emergency". We could write more but we think the above gives sufficient impression of this 4/5* (yeah right!) hotel :-)

Lovely suite with beautiful lake view, enjoyable spa and pool, delicious breakfast, helpful and friendly staff.

We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and were pleased with the views from our room. the breakfast buffet had a good variety of options, and the staff were mostly helpful. Our spacious apartment had a balcony and kitchen, which was handy for a snack.

The spa area was underwhelming and not worth the extra fee.

I had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel in Tihany. the location was fantastic, nestled in the middle of nature with a breathtaking view over the lake. It was also conveniently located near the center of town, making it easy to explore and experience the local area. The staff were attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout my stay. Additionally, the rooms were well-equipped and comfortable, providing all the basic amenities I needed. I found the hotel to be great value for money, especially considering the delicious breakfast included in the price.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel, we loved the fine lake view from our spacious terrace on the second floor. we enjoyed the really good service provided by the friendly staff. Cleanliness was never an issue, and the hotel facilities were excellent, including the indoor garage parking and the nice cuisine offered. this location was really peaceful and quiet, ideal for a relaxing break.

Great views and location! Enjoyed the modern and spacious rooms. Appreciated having a fridge and separate bedrooms for families. the restaurant offered delicious meals and the staff was kind and accommodating. the Wi-Fi was reliable and accessible throughout the property, including at the pool.

Limited breakfast options and challenging walk to and from the shore of the lake. No tea or coffee-making facilities in the room.

Great location close by the main attractions of the town and an easy drive from the airport. The staff was friendly and helpful in every way possible. The breakfast offered delicious local fare to start the day off right. The room was spacious and well equipped with modern technology.

The Wi-Fi connection was weak and slow, making it challenging to work from the room. The fitness center didn't have enough machines and was small.
